About Us
The Benjamin Teen Challenge Transformation Centre, Kaduna is an arm of Benjamin Bissan Shekari Lives On Foundation (BBSLOF), a registered community based non-governmental organization (NGO) that was established to fight the menace of drug abuse in the society, help the youth find meaning in life and help the vulnerable in the society.
Our Vision
Create an environment where those with life controlling issues can find hope, using a faith-based approach.
Objective
To provide an environment where those with life-controlling issues can find hope, using a faith-based approach.
Programme Duration
All students are expected to stay for a period of twelve months (One Year). During such period, they will not be allowed to go out without express permission. Any student that wants to leave the programme, for any reason, the center will inform the parents/guardians before allowing the student out of the center.
Activities: The activities aimed at achieving the objectives are divided into four phases (3months per phase).
First week:
a. Admission processes / Signing of consent form.
b. Orientation: aimed at stabilizing the student.
c. Referrals.
First Month and by extension the first phase:
d. Character molding activities.
e. Helping the student to stabilize physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
f. Detoxification, psychological and psychiatric and spiritual examination and referrals where necessary.
g. Helping the student’s to identify himself and introduce Christ to him/her
h. Work programmes.
i. Educational Programmes (Special Classes).
j. Counseling.
k. Recreational activities.
